This will be a pre-post for my Sabah Trip in an attempt to Conquer Mount Kinabalu (Which I did successfully).
So, the main highlight of this trip is Ascending to the highest non-manmade place in Southeast Asia which is Low's Peak on Mount Kinabalu.
Me posing with my index finger signifying ONE which is a reference to the Malaysian One Ringgit note which has the St. John's Peak that is behind me.
This is the more accurate map of the Trails I took up the Majestic Mountain. The map on my pre-climb post was just the map of the route I'm using for the descent.
Lets begin at the lower right of this map. This is where I began my ascend at Mesilau Nature Resort. This trail is called the Mesilau Trail but just up to the Junction where you can see Layang-Layang Hut. From the junction, I turn right and up to the summit trail and up till Laban Rata where I had my dinner then to Panar Laban Hut for my long awaited rest. Bear in mind that Panar Laban has only two Huts and each hut can fit 6 occupants.
-Final Ascend SKIPPED-
The trail I used to descend after the junction was the Timpohon Trail and all the way down to Timpohon Gate which is a very fun one as it is 98% downhill. I ran all the way down and its pretty fun! Will do it again in the future.
